Job summary

Glasgow Kelvin College seeks an ICT Technician on a fixed-term 12-month contract to deliver first and second-line ICT support to staff and students across campuses and learning centres. You will deploy hardware and software, maintain assets, and contribute to continuous improvement of ICT services.

The role requires strong communication, organisational skills, and a proactive approach to supporting end users and maintaining security and compliance with college policies.

Qualifications

• Educated to HND (SCQF level 8) in Computing or equivalent; or relevant experience.
• Evidence of Continuous Professional Development.
• Demonstrable knowledge of using remote technologies to assist users.

Responsibilities

• Deliver first and second-line ICT support to staff, students, and external partners, on-site and remotely.
• Maintain and troubleshoot ICT hardware, software, and telephony systems across College and partner locations.
• Manage ICT Service Desk requests and ensure records and SLAs are met.
• Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge base resources.
