Job summary

Excalibur Academies Trust is seeking an experienced ICT technician to act as the focal point for IT issues and developments at the site, ensuring high-quality services for staff and students across the Trust.

You will support development, update and maintenance of ICT infrastructure, including network hardware, and help ensure services operate efficiently to meet schools' needs.

• To advise and support staff in ensuring that IT services meet the current and future needs of staff and students.
• To support the Trust KCSIE obligations through regular testing of Internet filtering systems, working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and more Senior IT staff to maintain appropriate documentation.

Job description

As an experienced ICT technician, you will ensure that services are effective, professional, and value for money, while remaining flexible, responsive, and customer focused. You will act as focal point for all IT issues and developments taking place at the site, having oversight of all activities., To support delivery of a wide range of high-quality IT Services, ensuring an effective, professional, and value for money service for staff and students.

To support the development, update and maintenance of an effective ICT infrastructure, including all network hardware and equipment

To ensure that ICT services operate efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of the Trust and its constituent schools

To support the more senior IT Staff in maintaining an up-to-date record of support contracts/service level agreements for ICT, network infrastructure, telephony, printing facilities including any leasing arrangements to ensure efficient and cost effective performance and deployment of appropriate support services.

To support the Trust KCSIE obligations through regular testing of Internet filtering systems, working with the Designated Safeguarding Lead and more SeniorIT staff to maintain appropriate documentation.

Founded in 2012, Excalibur Academies Trust has grown from two schools in Marlborough, Wiltshire, to 20 schools reaching from Bristol to Reading along the M4 corridor, providing high-quality education to 10,000 children from 9 months to age 18.
