Job summary

Bourne Education Trust is seeking an IT Technician to join the team based at Kings International College, Camberley, Surrey. The role supports IT systems, working to keep the school’s digital infrastructure reliable and secure.

Based at Kings International College with potential travel to other Trust sites, the post focuses on first/second line support, installation and maintenance of systems, and collaboration with the IT Lead.

• Ability to respond to service desk tickets within agreed timeframes.
• Understanding of safeguarding responsibilities for pupils.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, commission and maintain systems and software to support the development of the school.
• Monitor the state of equipment, ensuring hardware is maintained and repairs are carried out as needed.

We are seeking an IT Technicianto join our team at Bourne Education Trust.

Our IT Technicians provide first and second line support for IT systems within a school, ensuring their smooth operation in a professional and timely manner. In support of the IT Lead and Regional Service Delivery Manager, play a key role in providing technical support to the school and ensuring the optimum operation of the IT network and associated technology, in line with the Trust's IT strategic vision maximising the learning opportunities of all students, and the business continuity of the trust.

Location: Based at Kings International College, Camberley, Surrey (travel to other Trust sites may be required)

Key responsibilities include:

• Monitor and respond to service desk tickets within the agreed timeframes
• Play a key part in the installation, configuration, commissioning and maintenance of systems and software to support the development of the school

Requirements include:

• Ability to demonstrate an awareness, understanding and commitment to the protection and safeguarding of pupils
• GCSE English and Maths or equivalent
• Relevant work experience within first or second line support
