Job summary

Leicestershire Fire and Rescue Service is seeking an ICT professional to manage a portfolio of systems, ensuring security, effectiveness and alignment with user needs. You will work with suppliers to ensure contracts are well managed and systems meet required service levels.

The role involves collaborating with end users, keeping documentation up to date, training staff, and contributing to major ICT projects within the service. Hybrid working may be considered.

Qualifications

• Demonstrate strong transferable skills and a willingness to learn, with the ability to develop into the role.
• Experience supporting, administering, developing or managing ICT systems and services would be beneficial.
• Exposure to system administration, procurement and contract management, user training, change management, system configuration, incident management and problem management would be beneficial.
• Assessment will be aligned to the NFCC Leadership Framework; interview will include behavioural, role-specific and Equality, Diversity and Inclusion questions.

Responsibilities

• Own a portfolio of related ICT systems to keep them secure, effective and aligned to user requirements.
• Ensure systems are correctly procured and supplier contracts are well managed.
• Collaborate with users and suppliers to ensure systems are resilient and meet service levels, delivering value for money.
• Work with the wider ICT team to resolve issues and deliver change.
• Ensure user guides and procedures are up to date.
• Ensure staff are trained in operation of our systems.
• Contribute to key system delivery projects within the Service.

Salary: £41,177 - 45,529 per year

Requirements

• We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate strong transferable skills, a willingness to learn, and the ability to develop into the role.
• Experience supporting, administering, developing, or managing ICT systems and services would be beneficial.
• Exposure to areas such as system administration, procurement and contract management, user training, change management, system configuration, incident management, and problem management would be beneficial.
• We will assess candidates against the NFCC Leadership Framework, and you may be required to demonstrate competence at any level up to and including the highest level relevant to the role.
• You must be able to attend an interview that includes behavioural and role-specific questions, as well as a question on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).
