Job summary

Amber Valley Borough Council is seeking an experienced ICT Operations & Service Delivery Manager to modernise technology services, drive continuous improvement and ensure secure, reliable ICT solutions that support organisational priorities.

Reporting to the Head of ICT & Digital Transformation, you will lead a skilled team, manage infrastructure and suppliers, and drive service improvement to support corporate priorities. A strong track record in ICT leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Significant ICT operations management experience in a complex organisation.
• Strong governance, cyber security and risk management understanding.
• Experience leading ICT teams, budgets and supplier contracts.
• Proven ability to improve services, delivery and customer focus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Council's ICT Operations & Support Team.
• Manage ICT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, telecommunications and business systems.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality ICT support and customer-focused services.
• Lead cyber security, information governance, business continuity and disaster recovery.
• Oversee ICT contracts, suppliers and service level agreements.
• Manage ICT budgets (operational and capital).
• Develop business cases, procurement exercises and investment proposals.
