Job summary

Amber Valley Borough Council is seeking a senior ICT Operations leader to direct the Operations & Support Team and ensure reliable, secure services across the Council. The role covers infrastructure, cloud, networks and telecoms, with oversight of budgets and key supplier contracts.

Responsibilities include cyber security, information governance, business continuity and disaster recovery, plus advising senior managers and stakeholders on ICT matters.

Job description

This permanent post sits in Amber Valley Borough Council's ICT team, leading the operations and support function that keeps its technology running. The work centres on running reliable, secure services, managing infrastructure, cloud and telecoms, and overseeing suppliers and contracts. It combines people leadership with budget oversight and business case development, and includes Microsoft 365 and cloud services.
