Job summary

Amber Valley Borough Council is seeking a senior ICT Operations leader to direct the Operations & Support Team and ensure reliable, secure services across the Council. The role covers infrastructure, cloud, networks and telecoms, with oversight of budgets and key supplier contracts.

Responsibilities include cyber security, information governance, business continuity and disaster recovery, plus advising senior managers and stakeholders on ICT matters.

Qualifications

• Significant experience managing ICT operations within a complex organisation.
• Experience leading ICT support and infrastructure teams.
• Experience managing suppliers, contracts and service level agreements.
• Proven budget management and financial monitoring experience.
• Experience managing Microsoft 365 and cloud-based services.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Council's ICT Operations & Support Team.
• Ensure reliable, resilient and secure ICT services across the Council.
• Manage ICT infrastructure, networks, cloud services, telecommunications and business systems.
• Lead cyber security, information governance, business continuity and disaster recovery arrangements.
• Manage ICT contracts, suppliers and service level agreements to deliver value for money.
• Oversee ICT operational and capital budgets.
• Develop business cases, procurement exercises and investment proposals.
• Advise senior managers, elected members and stakeholders on ICT matters.
