Job summary

South Derbyshire District Council is seeking an ICT Manager to lead the Council’s ICT service, providing senior strategic and technical leadership to support day-to-day services and drive transformation.

The role ensures secure, resilient operation of the Council’s technology infrastructure, cyber security, service desk and reprographics, and acts as technical architect for ICT solutions and future technology choices.

Qualifications

• Substantial experience leading secure, resilient ICT infrastructure across cloud, hybrid and on-premises environments.
• Translate technical information into clear briefings for senior leaders and elected members.
• Experience working in a predominantly Microsoft environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Council’s ICT service to support day-to-day service delivery and transformation objectives.
• Ensure secure, resilient operation of technology infrastructure, cyber security arrangements, service desk and reprographics.
• Act as technical architect for ICT solutions and future technology choices.
• Lead ICT implementation of leisure centre and civic office opening in 2028.
• Develop and motivate a technical team and build relationships with stakeholders, partner Councils and external suppliers.
