MCS Group is seeking an ICT Field Service Engineer to join its customer support and infrastructure team in Co Louth, Ireland. You will provide remote and onsite technical support to maintain reliable, secure IT environments and help deliver customer projects.

With at least two years in ICT support or engineering, you’ll install, configure and maintain servers, networks and Microsoft 365 services, while following security best practices and driving prompt resolutions for customers.

Formación

• Two years' experience in ICT support, infrastructure or engineering.
• Strong knowledge of Windows Desktop and Windows Server environments.
• Experience administering Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• Good networking knowledge: TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls, VPNs.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS and DHCP.
• Familiarity with virtualization and backup technologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer-facing skills.
• Clear communication and ability to work independently.

Responsabilidades

• Provide remote and onsite support across customer infrastructure, networks, servers and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Take ownership of technical issues, from diagnosis through to resolution.
• Install, configure and maintain servers, virtual environments, networking equipment and related infrastructure.
• Support backup, disaster recovery and business continuity solutions.
• Monitor systems, carry out proactive maintenance and recommend improvements.
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations and customer projects.
• Keep technical documentation and customer records accurate and up to date.
• Work with customers, colleagues and vendors to deliver a reliable support service.
• Apply security best practices, including patching, access controls, MFA and endpoint protection.
