Job summary

Nottinghamshire County Council invites applications for an ICT Apprentice role designed to develop essential information technology skills while training toward an Apprenticeship Standard. The programme is hybrid, with in-office collaboration periods and remote work flexibility in line with service needs.

As an ICT Apprentice, you will support 1st and 2nd line IT requests, log interactions, and work with ICT teams and suppliers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• A good standard of general education, including GCSEs in English and Maths at Level 4 or above or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of IT systems and software applications.
• Familiarity with common IT packages, such as Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle initial contacts from users via phone, webchat and self-service.
• Keep track of user contacts and interactions accurately.
• Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to resolve technical issues.
• Escalate issues to 3rd line ICT support teams and suppliers when necessary.
• Collaborate with colleagues to improve IT processes and user experiences.
