Job summary

Hydraquip Ltd, the UK’s largest independent Hose & Hydraulics company, is hiring a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to maintain and repair hydraulic/pneumatic systems across customer sites. You will provide field-based technical support, diagnose faults, and deliver exceptional service while managing your own workload and on-call duties.

Applicants should hold a full UK driving licence and be self-motivated, reliable, and customer-focused.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Providing field-based engineering support to customers.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.

What we’re looking for

Essential experience

• In-depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Experience as a:

• Mechanical Field Service Engineer, or
• Maintenance Engineer.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer focused.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Ability to deliver consistently high standards of service.

Desirable experience

• Relevant engineering apprenticeship.
• Higher engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, City & Guilds, Engineering Degree).
• At least two years' driving experience.
• Previous experience working in a mobile field service environment.
• Experience within hydraulic engineering, fluid power, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, plant, or engineering sectors.
