Job summary

Hydraquip Hose & Hydraulics is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to service hydraulic and pneumatic equipment for customers across the UK. You will work in the field, diagnose faults, perform maintenance, and deliver high levels of service while representing Hydraquip professionally.

Applicants should have in-depth hydraulics knowledge, a full UK driving licence, and a track record in field service or maintenance engineering.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Experience in field service or maintenance engineering is required.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Providing field-based engineering support to customers.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Delivering high levels of customer service.
• Representing Hydraquip professionally as the face of the company.

Role and Responsibilities

• Carrying out maintenance and repair work on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
• Providing field-based engineering support to customers.
• Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Delivering high levels of customer service.
• Working independently and managing your own workload.
• Representing Hydraquip professionally as the face of the company.
• Maintaining reliability, punctuality, and high standards of workmanship.
• Participating in on-call work and overtime when required.

Essential Experience & What we’re looking for

• In-depth knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics

Experience as a:

• Mechanical Field Service Engineer, or
• Maintenance Engineer.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Reliable, punctual, and customer focused.
• Flexible approach to work.
• Ability to deliver consistently high standards of service.

Desirable Experience

• Relevant engineering apprenticeship.
• Higher engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, HNC, HND, City & Guilds, Engineering Degree).
• At least two years' driving experience.
• Previous experience working in a mobile field service environment.Experience within hydraulic engineering, fluid power, industrial maintenance, manufacturing, plant, or engineering sectors.
