Job summary

A well-established manufacturing organisation in the UK is seeking a Hydraulic Control Valves and Systems Applications Engineer. You will support customers with hydraulic products, manage quotes and orders, and maintain strong client relationships. The ideal candidate will have technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, experience in a sales role, and excellent communication skills. Qualifications

• Previous experience in a technical sales or customer-facing sales role is essential.
• Hands-on experience with mobile hydraulics is desirable.
• Level 1 British Fluid Power Association Hydraulics qualification is a plus.
• Ability to speak additional languages is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Providing technical support: assisting customers with technical product queries, orders and quotations.
• Preparing quotes and orders: generating accurate quotations and entering orders onto the ERP system.
• Customer relationship management: maintaining regular contact with customers to progress enquiries and sales opportunities.
• Sales administration: recording accurate customer and sales information within internal systems.
• Business development support: identifying and generating new sales enquiries where possible.
• Customer visits and events: attending occasional customer visits, exhibitions, and trade shows.

Skills

Technical knowledge of hydraulic control valves and hydraulic systems

Ability to read and understand hydraulic system diagrams

Confident using Microsoft applications

Clear and fluent English speaking and writing skills

Education

GCSE Maths and English grade C or above (or equivalent)
