Job summary

MBDA UK Ltd invites undergraduates to join its Weapon Systems Algorithms Engineer summer placement for 2027. The role focuses on building and integrating advanced algorithms within the WSAP team, impacting future weapon system technologies.

You will work on real projects and gain exposure to system-level design and performance evaluation. The 10-week placement starts in June 2027, with hybrid working requiring 2–3 on-site days per week.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate working towards a degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
• Experience in programming for scientific/engineering applications (e.g. MATLAB, Python) would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Work within the Weapon Systems Algorithms & Performance team to develop and optimise algorithms for MBDA's weapon systems.
• Contribute to system-level design, performance modelling and early-stage concepting for high-profile programmes.
