Job summary

MBDA UK is seeking an Algorithms Engineer for its Weapon Systems Algorithms & Performance (WSAP) team in Stevenage. You will develop and optimise core weapon-system algorithms and support system-level design.

The 2-year graduate programme starts September 2027. You will work with MBDA projects, benefit from annual salary reviews, and have opportunities for career progression. Security clearance and BPSS checks apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
• Strong algorithm development and maths skills.
• Interest in defence technology and system-level design.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimise weapon system algorithms and performance models.
• Provide system-level technical support to high-profile MBDA projects.
• Work with project teams to deliver critical algorithm components on time, cost and quality.
• Explore AI/ML techniques such as deep reinforcement learning for algorithm development.
• Participate in concepting and early-stage architecture discussions.
