Job summary

Capgemini Invent is seeking a User Researcher to join our Digital Factory community in the United Kingdom. You will collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and developers to plan and conduct high-impact research that informs product strategy and design.

You will lead research across a product lifecycle, applying qualitative and quantitative methods, and help embed user-centered practices in agile teams—driving accessibility and inclusive design across projects.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience leading user research across multiple phases.
• Experience working with multi-disciplinary, agile teams.
• Eligible for UK SC clearance (resident 5+ years).
• Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and design principles.
• Strong storytelling, communication, and facilitation skills.
• Familiarity with prototypes to test hypotheses and validate journeys.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct high-impact research with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers.
• Lead the research for your team, selecting the best methodologies.
• Plan qualitative studies including interviews, observations, diary studies, and usability tests.
• Use surveys and analytics to identify actionable insights.
• Embed user-centered design and best practices across teams and the wider business.
• Communicate findings to develop empathy and evidence-based design decisions.
