Job summary

Capgemini Invent in the UK is hiring a User Researcher to shape digital products through user insights. You will lead research with product managers, designers, and developers, and embed user-centred design practices across teams. Hybrid work is available with travel to client locations as needed, including London, Manchester, and Glasgow.

Qualifications

• Experience leading user research across multiple product/service lifecycles.
• Strong storytelling and stakeholder management abilities.
• UK resident for 5+ years and eligible for SC clearance (Security Check).
• Experience with Government Digital Service (GDS) standards and design principles.
• Ability to work in multi-disciplinary, agile teams and influence design with insights.
• Comfort using prototypes to validate journeys and test hypotheses.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct high-impact user research to inform product decisions.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Developers to apply insights.
• Lead research efforts and select appropriate qualitative/quantitative methods.
• Plan and run studies (interviews, diary studies, usability tests, surveys).
• Communicate findings and facilitate evidence-based design decisions.
