Job summary

Gateshead Council is seeking a Systems Development Analyst to improve the organisation's business applications and information systems. You will analyse processes, define requirements and deliver technical solutions for service delivery across adult and children services.

Qualifications

• Higher education in IT, business analysis, process improvement or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience supporting and developing business applications and information systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ownership from issue to resolution.

Responsibilities

• Provide system development and support for requests for change within business applications.
• Identify system requirements and improvements by examining IT systems and processes.
• Analyse and resolve complex problems to meet business needs.
• Maintain and upgrade existing IT systems and applications.
• Ensure effective operation of financial systems and configurations.
