Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team. The role provides purchasing and admin support, with a hybrid pattern (2-3 office days per week) based in Leeds after relocation.

The package includes a salary band from £27,166 to £33,430, an annual incentive up to £1,000, and strong pension provision. You will work with the team to raise purchase orders, manage supplier relationships and maintain weekly stock and expenditure reports, while

Qualifications

• Experience of purchasing, supply chain coordination, logistics or related administrative role.
• Knowledge of stock management systems and SAP.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities.
• Good financial awareness for day-to-day business decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
• Confidence to influence and negotiate with others.

Responsibilities

• Reviewing purchase requisitions and ensuring compliance with supply chain policies.
• Raising and managing purchase orders.
• Coordinating consignments and maintenance packs for delivery to sites.
• Tracking orders from origin to final destination.
• Monitoring supplier receipt of POs, delivery schedules and statuses.
• Updating weekly/monthly stock and expenditure reports.
• Supporting colleagues to make purchases through the Ariba system.
• Helping achieve best value from purchasing activity.
• Responding to queries about requisitions with guidance.
• Building effective relationships with colleagues and suppliers.
• Providing general administrative support to Supply Chain & Logistics.
• Supporting training and onboarding of new starters.
• Promoting a safe working environment and following health & safety procedures.
