Job summary

Yorkshire Water is seeking a Water Resources Sustainability Manager to lead the Water Resources team in shaping long-term resilience and regulatory compliance across Yorkshire. The role offers a competitive salary (£75,000 to £80,000), a company car/allowance, and an incentive bonus of up to 20% with pension up to 12% and private health care.

Qualifications

• Degree in environmental, engineering, scientific or related discipline.
• Experience in water, environmental, infrastructure or consultancy sectors, including regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of environmental management and water resources planning.
• Experience shaping strategy and managing portfolios under uncertainty and risk.
• Proven ability to influence regulators and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead water resources sustainability programme shaping long-term plans.
• Oversee delivery of Environmental Destination, WINEP and environmental programmes.
• Develop evidence base for Water Resources Management Plans and Drought Plans.
• Build relationships with regulators, NGOs and internal stakeholders to drive alignment.
• Forecast environmental risks and opportunities and translate into delivery plans.
• Collaborate across Water Resources, Asset Management, Operations and Strategy teams.
• Provide leadership to a small team of specialists.
• Represent Yorkshire Water externally and influence regulatory approaches.
