Yorkshire Water is seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our Supply Chain and Logistics team. The role supports purchasing and administrative tasks, ensuring efficient replenishment and strong supplier relationships across the region.

Based at Foxbridge, the position will move to Leeds in 2027 with hybrid working (2–3 days in the office). We offer progression, a competitive salary, and a comprehensive benefits package, including pension and health options.

Qualifications

• Experience of purchasing, supply chain, coordination, logistics or related administrative role.
• Knowledge of stock management systems and SAP.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions and ensure adherence to supply chain policies.
• Raise and manage purchase orders.
• Coordinate consignments and maintenance packs for delivery to sites.
• Track orders from origin to final destination.
• Monitor supplier receipt, delivery schedules and statuses.
• Update weekly/monthly stock expenditure reports.
• Support colleagues with purchases in Ariba system.
• Help the business maximise value from purchasing activity.
• Respond to requisition queries with clear guidance.
• Build relationships with Yorkshire Water and suppliers.
• Provide general admin support to Supply Chain and Logistics.
• Support training and onboarding of new starters.

This role is currently based at our Foxbridge site in Normanton but will be moving to Leeds Valley Park in January 2027, so you’ll be based there in the future - Hybrid Working (2-3 office days a week – Leeds).

Where you fit in:

You’ll work closely with the Supply Chain Team Leader and the wider Logistics team, providing purchasing and administrative support where needed.

Responsibilities:

• Reviewing purchase requisitions and making sure they follow our supply chain policies.
• Raising and managing purchase orders.
• Coordinating consignments and maintenance packs for delivery to operational sites.
• Tracking orders from the point of origin through to their final destination.
• Monitoring supplier receipt of purchase orders, delivery schedules, transit times and delivery statuses.
• Updating and managing weekly and monthly reports relating to stock replenishment and expenditure.
• Supporting colleagues to make purchases correctly through the Ariba system.
• Helping the business achieve the best value from its purchasing activity.
• Responding to queries about purchase requisitions and providing clear guidance where needed.
• Building effective relationships with colleagues across Yorkshire Water and our external suppliers.
• Providing general administrative support to the Supply Chain and Logistics team.
• Supporting the training and development of new starters.
• Promoting a safe working environment and following relevant health and safety procedures.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

• Experience of purchasing, supply chain
• coordination, logistics or a related administrative role.
• Knowledge of stock management systems and SAP.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage several priorities.
• Good financial awareness when making day-to-day business decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• The ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal colleagues and external suppliers.
• The confidence to influence and negotiate with others.
• A flexible approach and the ability to deliver results.
