Job summary

Bet365 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to strengthen system reliability and performance through strong engineering practices and observability. The role emphasizes incident resolution, service instrumentation with OpenTelemetry, and AI-native approaches to reduce toil and improve health.

You will implement automated solutions, build dashboards, and mentor colleagues while collaborating across functions to embed reliability in the SDLC. The role supports our hybrid work policy.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of SRE principles and reliability engineering practices.
• Experience creating and managing SLI/SLOs.
• Familiarity with current observability tools (Splunk, New Relic, Grafana, PagerDuty).
• Proficiency in shell scripting for automation.
• Experience with IaC and automation (Ansible, Terraform).
• Background in large-scale 24/7 enterprise environments.
• AI-native engineering using LLM platforms for observability and telemetry.
• Ability to build dashboards from telemetry data.
• Mentoring colleagues in new tech and practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tooling to manage and improve system reliability.
• Automate manual tasks and reduce toil via automation/orchestration platforms.
• Write code to improve service reliability and observability (telemetry, APIs, tooling).
• Build dashboards with Grafana, Splunk, and New Relic across telemetry data.
• Contribute to live incident resolution and post-mortem analysis with remediation plans.
• Drive initiatives to improve system reliability and observability across the org.
• Maintain and administer monitoring and analytics toolsets.
• Mentor teammates on new technologies and practices.
• Collaborate with IT Operations to support critical tooling for business value.
