Job summary

Bet365 is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to boost reliability, observability and performance across critical systems. You’ll apply software engineering rigor to incident resolution, instrumentation with OpenTelemetry, and AI-driven telemetry, while embedding best practices across the software lifecycle.

You’ll collaborate with multiple teams, implement service health metrics and dashboards, and drive automation to reduce toil in a 24/7 enterprise environment. Hybrid work option available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of modern software development lifecycles and practices.
• Strong SRE principles including SLI/SLO design and reliability focus.
• Familiarity with observability tools and best practices.
• Scripting for automation and system management.
• IaC with Ansible and Terraform for automation/orchestration.
• Experience in 24/7 large-scale enterprises with uptime importance.
• AI-native engineering using LLMs to improve telemetry and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain tools to make systems reliable and resilient.
• Automate manual tasks using automation/orchestration platforms.
• Write code to improve reliability and observability, including telemetry and tooling.
• Build dashboards using telemetry data with Grafana, Splunk and New Relic.
• Participate in live incident resolution and post-mortem analysis.
• Drive initiatives to improve system reliability and observability.
• Maintain and administer monitoring/analytic toolsets.
• Mentor colleagues in new technologies and practices.
• Collaborate with IT Operations to deliver critical tooling for the business.
