Job summary

BARBOUR is seeking a Shipping Administrator to join our Shipping team at the Head Office in South Shields on a temporary maternity cover basis. You will ensure right first-time shipping to global customers on time in full with accurate presentation and documentation.

The role requires strong communication with internal teams and external partners, experience in warehousing/logistics, and proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word. Hybrid working and staff benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Experience in warehousing and logistical environments.
• Proficient in shipping paperwork and documentation.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to plan and prioritise workload under targets.

Responsibilities

• Maintain updated shared documents for visibility across departments.
• Support forecasts for stock movements for 3PL warehouses.
• Ensure despatch targets are met by the warehouse.
• Coordinate forward bookings with customers and forwarders.
• Prepare and share shipment documentation with haulers and customers.
