Job summary

Asda is seeking a Server Engineer to support servers in a corporate network, delivering end-to-end projects from design to handover to Operations. The role covers hardware, OS, virtual platforms, backups and monitoring, with a focus on security policies.

The candidate will work on projects across the server infrastructure and collaborate with PMs, internal teams and 3rd parties to implement robust solutions while balancing workload under pressure in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

• We are looking for an Engineer with experience supporting Servers in a corporate network.
• Role is a project position handling end-to-end design, implementation, build and handover to Operations.
• Projects span server infrastructure including hardware, OS, virtualization, backups and monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings.
• Design solutions following company and industry standards.
• Work with PMs, internal teams, and 3rd parties to deliver solutions.
• Install and configure server elements including hardware, OS, monitoring and backup.
• Document designs and solutions.
• Handover completed solutions to the Operations team.
• Build relationships across the Asda Technology function.
• Design, install and configure solutions following Asda Security policies.
• Manage day-to-day workload to meet timescales.
