Job summary

Your Tech Future is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer in Devon to maintain, secure and enhance a business-critical IT environment. You’ll support Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, M365/Exchange Online, Cisco Meraki networking, VLANs and VPNs across on-premise, hosted and Azure platforms.

You’ll automate with PowerShell, monitor performance and capacity, manage SAN/storage, and collaborate with third-party providers to ensure uptime and resilience.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have solid infrastructure background in business-critical environments.
• Experience with Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and Microsoft 365/Exchange Online.
• Familiar with Cisco Meraki networking, VLANs and VPNs.
• Knowledge of SAN/storage technologies and patch management.
• Exposure to Linux/Unix, DevOps or ITIL is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and monitor network, server, security and infrastructure systems.
• Support and optimize VMware and/or Hyper-V environments.
• Manage Microsoft 365 and Exchange Online.
• Support Cisco Meraki networking, including VLANs and VPNs.
• Manage SAN storage and related networking.
• Work across on-premise, hosted and Azure environments.
• Use PowerShell to automate processes and administration.
• Proactively monitor infrastructure performance, availability and capacity.
• Handle patching schedules and security compliance.
• Identify and respond to infrastructure and security issues.
• Collaborate with hosting and third-party providers to maintain uptime.
• Test and implement hardware, software and infrastructure changes.
• Contribute to design and delivery of technical projects.
• Maintain infrastructure documentation and knowledge-base content.
• Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical expertise.
