Job summary

Asda Stores Ltd is seeking a Server Engineer in the United Kingdom to join our Infrastructure team. The role is full-time and permanent with a hybrid work pattern requiring a minimum of three days in a Home Office.

You will design, install, and support Windows and Linux servers and VMware environments, while collaborating with PMs and third parties to deliver robust solutions. Ideal candidates will have PowerShell scripting and automation experience, strong customer service and communication

Qualifications

• Experience supporting Windows, Linux servers and VMware infrastructure (L3 level).
• PowerShell scripting and automation experience.
• Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days in a Home Office per week.

Responsibilities

• Attend project meetings.
• Design solutions following company and industry standards.
• Collaborate with PMs, internal teams and 3rd parties to deliver solutions.
• Install and configure server elements including hardware, OS, monitoring and backup.
• Document designs and solutions.
• Handover completed solutions to the Operations team.
• Build relationships across the Asda Technology function.
• Design, install and configure solutions per Asda security policies.
• Manage day-to-day workload to meet timescales.
