Job summary

Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Capital Delivery Project Engineering team. The role involves delivering projects across Thames Valley sewage treatment works, acting as an intelligent client and ensuring safe, compliant, best-value solutions.

You will coordinate project definitions, manage risks, and support design reviews while liaising with contractors and consultants.

Qualifications

• HNC or higher qualification in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience developing technical project solutions and/or engineering briefs.
• A good understanding of project delivery within a process industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within the construction industry, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
• An understanding of industrial processes within your engineering discipline.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate development of clear project briefs from Asset Management needs.
• Engage with stakeholders and support optioneering for technical solutions.
• Oversee project development across Thames Valley sewage treatment works.
• Identify project risks and coordinate mitigation activities.
• Prepare for and support technical reviews through definition, de-risking and detailed design stages.
• Provide design sign-off between Asset Management and Capital Delivery.
