Thames Water Utilities Limited is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join the Capital Delivery Project Engineering team in Reading. You’ll provide engineering expertise and assurance to ensure safe, compliant, best-value solutions across sewage treatment works in the Thames Valley.

You will work under a Principal Engineer to lead projects through definition, design, construction and handover, ensuring alignment with scope, asset standards and health and safety requirements.

Competenze

• Experience developing technical project solutions and/or engineering briefs.
• Good understanding of project delivery within a process industry.
• Knowledge of health and safety requirements within construction, especially CDM regulations.
• Understanding of industrial processes in your engineering discipline.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and risk-management skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, contractors and consultants.
• Chartered Engineer status or progress towards chartership.

• Coordinate development of clear project briefs from Asset Management needs.
• Engage with stakeholders and support optioneering for technical solutions.
• Oversee projects across Thames Valley sewage treatment works.
• Identify project risks and coordinate mitigations.
• Prepare for and support technical reviews during definition and design stages.
• Provide design sign-off between Asset Management and Capital Delivery.
• Undertake technical assurance checks and audits during design and construction.
• Ensure compliance with scope, asset standards, legislation and CDM Regulations.
• Provide technical assurance during delivery, commissioning and handover.
• Help reduce costs via risk management and value engineering.
• Coach and mentor colleagues for development and continuous improvement.
