Job summary

XPS Pensions Group is seeking a Pensions Administration Manager in Reading, with hybrid working. The role focuses on owning a portfolio of defined benefit pensions administration, delivering high-quality services to trustees and corporate clients, and driving improvements.

The candidate will lead a team, manage complex pensions processes including retirements and benefit statements, and ensure compliance with regulatory changes while supporting business development within the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Strong technical knowledge of Defined Benefit pensions administration across a range of schemes.
• Significant pensions administration experience including retirements, transfers, increases and scheme events.
• Thorough understanding of pensions legislation and industry developments.
• Previous leadership and people management experience with coaching and recruitment.
• Strong communication and presentation skills with stakeholders at all levels.
• Experience leading pensions administration projects and achieving timescales.

Responsibilities

• Assisting or leading pensions administration services for the assigned client portfolio.
• Overseeing day-to-day client relationships with trustees and corporate clients.
• Participating in client meetings and expanding knowledge of the client portfolio.
• Providing expert pensions advice and solutions aligned with regulatory developments.
• Managing projects like renewals, benefit statements, and scheme returns.
• Leading performance reviews, coaching teammates, and ensuring governance and risk records.
