Job summary

Spring Supply Chain in Manchester is seeking an experienced Road Freight Operator to manage UK and European road shipments from booking to delivery, delivering strong customer service within a busy operations team.

You will coordinate movements, liaise with hauliers and customers, arrange groupage and full/part loads, and prepare transport documentation while keeping accurate shipment records.

Qualifications

• Experience in road freight operations within a freight forwarding environment
• Strong understanding of UK and European road freight processes
• Experience arranging groupage, part load and full load shipments
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to manage multiple shipments and prioritise a busy workload

Responsibilities

• Manage road freight shipments from booking through to final delivery
• Coordinate UK and European road freight movements
• Liaise with hauliers, overseas agents, suppliers and customers
• Arrange groupage, part load and full load shipments
• Prepare and process transport documentation
• Monitor shipments and provide regular updates to customers
• Resolve operational issues and ensure deliveries are completed efficiently
• Maintain accurate shipment records and deliver excellent customer service
