Spring Supply Chain in Manchester is recruiting a Sea Freight Import Operator to manage import shipments from booking to final delivery. You'll handle FCL and LCL, liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers, and ensure documentation and customs clearance are handled efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in sea freight import operations within a freight forwarder.
• Knowledge of end-to-end sea freight import processes.
• Understanding of shipping documentation and customs procedures.
• Strong organisation and high attention to detail.
• Confident communication with customers, suppliers and overseas agents.
• Able to manage a busy workload and prioritise effectively.
• Positive, proactive approach and willingness to support colleagues.
• Enjoy working as part of a friendly, collaborative team.

Responsibilities

• Manage sea freight import shipments from booking through to final delivery.
• Liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, hauliers and customers.
• Prepare and process shipping documentation.
• Coordinate customs clearance and delivery arrangements.
• Monitor shipments and update customers on progress.
• Resolve operational issues and ensure smooth shipments.
• Maintain accurate records and provide high standard of customer service.
