Job summary

ALS Recruiting Ltd is seeking a Road Freight Operator to manage end-to-end European road imports or exports from booking to delivery. You’ll coordinate with hauliers and overseas teams, handle customs documentation and ensure timely transit. Qualifications

• Proven track record in European road freight forwarding (imports or exports).
• Solid grasp of post-Brexit customs procedures, Incoterms, and international transport documents.
• Hands-on experience with CargoWise, EDI Enterprise or similar TMS.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills under tight transit deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Road Freight Operations: manage end-to-end European road import or road export shipments (FTL/LTL/groupage) from booking to delivery.
• Customs Clearance & Documentation: prepare transit paperwork and UK import/export declarations post-Brexit.
• Freight & Transport Coordination: coordinate with international partners, track movements, optimize routes, manage border clearances.
• Account Management: be the primary contact for key client accounts with proactive updates.
• File Financials: handle road freight costing, vendor invoices, and customer billing to protect margin.
