Job summary

Cooper Moss Rutland LLP is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Project Controls team, supporting clients on major construction projects. You will work with Project Controls, Project Management and Commercial teams to identify, assess and manage project risks, ensuring clear communication to stakeholders.

We value proactive risk management and collaboration, offering a hybrid work pattern with home working and Birmingham office presence.

Qualifications

• Experience in project management, project controls or risk management.
• Experience on major construction or infrastructure projects.
• Good understanding of risk management methodologies and mitigation processes.
• Experience developing and maintaining project risk registers.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops with project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to a wider audience.
• Proactive approach to improving project performance and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage project risks with Project Controls and Commercial teams.
• Facilitate risk workshops and capture key risks and mitigations.
• Maintain project risk registers with causes, events and impacts.
• Assess likelihood and impact and support proportionate responses.
• Monitor risk actions and ensure closure.
• Assist with monthly project reports providing risk insights.
• Support qualitative and quantitative risk analysis.
• Identify trends and escalate to senior team.
• Build relationships with stakeholders to promote risk culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of risk processes.
• Support Senior Risk Managers in delivering risk services.
