Job summary

CMR is a dynamic construction consultancy delivering project controls across major programmes. We are seeking a Risk Manager to join our Project Controls team and help clients identify, assess and manage risk on complex projects.

You will work with the Project Controls, Project Management and Commercial teams to drive risk workshops, maintain risk registers and communicate insights to stakeholders. The role offers hybrid working with a London office and home-based days.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience in project controls or risk management on construction/infrastructure projects.
• Understanding of risk methodologies and mitigation processes.
• Experience developing and maintaining project risk registers.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops with stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
• Proactive in identifying opportunities to improve risk management.

Responsibilities

• Support the Project Management and Commercial Teams in identifying, assessing and managing risks.
• Facilitate risk workshops and capture key risks, opportunities and exposures.
• Maintain project risk registers with defined causes, events, impacts and mitigations.
• Assess likelihood and impact of risks and support proportionate responses.
• Monitor mitigation actions and ensure progress and closure.
• Support monthly project reports with risk information and insights.
• Assist with qualitative and quantitative risk analysis for cost/schedule exposure.
• Identify trends and emerging risks and escalate to senior team members.
• Build strong relationships with project stakeholders to promote a risk-aware culture.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of risk management processes and tools.
• Support senior risk managers in delivering high-quality risk services to clients.
