Job summary

Cooper Moss Rutland LLP is seeking a Risk Manager to join our Project Controls team in London. The role combines working from home with three days in our central London office, focusing on identifying, assessing and managing risk across major construction projects.

You will collaborate with Project Controls, Project Management and Commercial teams to ensure risks are understood, mitigated and communicated to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in project controls or risk management within a construction or infrastructure environment.
• Proven ability to identify, assess and manage project risks and opportunities.
• Experience developing and maintaining project risk registers and risk responses.
• Experience facilitating risk workshops with project stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and communication skills; ability to simplify technical concepts for broad audiences.
• Proactive approach to improving project performance and risk management processes.

Responsibilities

• Identify, assess and manage project risks across major construction projects.
• Facilitate risk workshops and capture key risks, opportunities and exposures.
• Maintain and define project risk registers with causes, events, impacts and mitigations.
• Assess likelihood and impact of risks and support proportionate responses.
• Monitor mitigation actions; ensure actions are progressed and closed.
• Contribute to monthly project risk reports with accurate analysis and insight.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative risk analysis to understand cost/schedule exposure.
• Escalate trends and emerging risks to senior team members.
