Job summary

Siemens Mobility UKI is seeking Commercial Managers to support rail and infrastructure projects across the UK. The role requires hybrid working with three days per week in the office and extensive interaction with clients and internal teams.

From cost forecasting to contract negotiations, you will drive commercial delivery, manage work packages, and ensure compliance with standards while supporting project managers and engineers across diverse programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience in rail, engineering, defence, construction, IT or similar project-based industry.
• Experience on complex, multidisciplinary projects.
• Active/pursuing professional membership such as RICS, CICES.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen including forecasting costs and managing variations.

Responsibilities

• Lead project change control and cost management.
• Present periodic project commercial performance.
• Provide key commercial interface for responsible work package manager.
• Support Project Managers and Engineering teams with contractual/commercial guidance.
• Responsible for work package cost management: forecasting, budgeting and control.
• Monitor and mitigate work package risks and issues.
• Contribute to internal/external commercial reports per strategy.
• Ensure contract administration complies with company standards.
• Maintain auditable records for responsible work packages.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, project management, engineering and finance teams.
