Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support refurbishment contracts across the Midlands. The role involves end-to-end cost management, subcontractor liaison, and value-based payments across mixed office/site environments, with hybrid working options.

You will work with the operational teams, ensuring accurate cost evaluations, budgets, and timely payments while maintaining strong communication with clients and colleagues.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor delivering refurbishment works, preferably in the Social Housing sector.
• Attention to detail and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Hold a Full UK Driving Licence; travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contract progress, assess changes affecting costs or time.
• Liaise with Contract Managers to establish project specifications.
• Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
• Assist in controlling contract budgets and cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare and submit monthly applications for payment to the Client.
• Prepare monthly valuation reports and ensure timely payments.
• Attend meetings and build relationships with Clients/Customers.
• Assist in procurement programme development and tender preparation.
