Job summary

Novus Property Solutions is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to support refurbishment works across the Midlands region, with a hybrid working pattern (office/home/site) and travel to sites as required. You will liaise with Operations, manage subcontractor payments, and oversee cost control and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires experience in social housing refurbishment (preferred), strong IT skills, and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Quantity Surveyor delivering refurbishment works.
• Social Housing refurbishment experience preferred but not essential.
• Strong IT skills with Proficient MS Office usage; driving licence required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor contract progress and report changes affecting costs or timescales.
• Liaise with Contract Managers to agree project specifications and requirements.
• Value and authorise payments to sub-contractors.
• Assist in budget control and cash flow forecasting for designated projects.
• Prepare and submit monthly payment applications to Clients/Representatives.
• Produce monthly valuation reports and ensure timely payments.
• Attend meetings and build strong client and team relationships.
• Assist in procurement planning and tender preparation.
