Job summary

Siemens Mobility UKI is looking for a qualified Quantity Surveyor to support rail and infrastructure projects across the UK. The role requires strong commercial acumen, stakeholder engagement, and experience with cost management and change control in a contractor-side environment.

We offer a hybrid working model with three days in the office, and opportunities to work on landmark rail schemes alongside industry partners. Travel to customer sites across the region is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified (or working towards) in a relevant discipline.
• Professional membership such as RICS or CICES encouraged.
• Experience in rail, engineering, defence, construction or related sectors.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across project departments.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen, including forecasting and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Support change control for projects and work packages.
• Provide commercial interface and contractual support to the project team.
• Lead work package cost management, forecasting and budget control.
• Identify and manage risks and opportunities for work packages.
• Contribute to internal/external commercial reports and contract administration.
• Maintain auditable records in line with contractual requirements.
