Job summary

Haseltine-Lake-Kempner seeks a Projects & Change Manager to lead a busy programme across the firm, shaping a practical project framework and governing change with clients and fee earners in mind.

The role is hands-on, with responsibilities spanning project initiation, chartering, risk management and post-implementation reviews, and it offers hybrid working in Bristol or London in line with policy.

Qualifications

• Experience managing or coordinating projects or business change.
• Hands-on use of core project tools and documents (plans, RAID logs, reports).
• Experience running meetings, taking notes and following up on actions.
• Some exposure to requirements gathering, process mapping or user testing.
• Strong organisation and prioritisation across competing deadlines.
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint).

Responsibilities

• Shape HLK’s project approach with a flexible, proportionate framework.
• Define project stages from idea to delivery and review.
• Create templates and reports for project governance.
• Recommend and implement tools to support projects and collaboration.
• Prioritise and track the project portfolio and report to management.
• Lead projects from initiation through to closure, coordinating teams.
• Plan the people side of change, including communications and training.
