Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment are partnering with an established construction consultancy to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant in Reigate. The role covers cost management across the project lifecycle and working with clients, contractors and designers.

You will join a supportive team in a hybrid, 37.5-hour week with flexible start times, and a degree in construction discipline is essential. Salary ranges £35,000-£50,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related construction discipline.
• Previous Quantity Surveying or Cost Consultancy experience.
• Experience in a construction consultancy is advantageous.
• Good understanding of pre- and post-contract Quantity Surveying duties.
• Experience with cost planning, tendering, valuations, variations and final accounts.
• Strong commercial and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide cost and commercial advice across projects from feasibility to final account.
• Prepare feasibility estimates, cost plans and budgets.
• Prepare tender documentation and manage tender processes.
• Analyse contractor submissions and prepare tender reports.
• Support procurement and contractor appointments.
• Prepare valuations and assess payments.
