Job summary

Hill McGlynn Recruitment Limited seeks a Project Quantity Surveyor / Cost Consultant for their established construction consultancy, based from the Faversham office in Kent. The role covers commercial and cost-management across the project lifecycle, working with clients, contractors and other stakeholders within a hybrid working environment.

The successful candidate holds a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management and has prior QS or cost consultancy experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or related construction discipline is essential.
• Experience as Quantity Surveyor or Cost Consultant in a construction consultancy.
• Strong reading of pre- and post-contract duties and cost management across projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide QS services across a range of projects from feasibility to final account.
• Prepare cost plans, tender documentation, and budgets.
• Analyse submissions and prepare tender reports; manage procurement and contractor appointments.
• Prepare valuations, monitor expenditure, and negotiate final accounts.
• Maintain project documentation and stakeholder liaison.
