Job summary

HS2 Ltd is seeking a Project Engineer to provide professional and technical support on project engineering issues, assuring that asset design and construction comply with standards and sponsor requirements, including CDM Regulations. The Infrastructure Directorate coordinates delivery through the IPT and contractor interfaces to ensure system integrity.

Qualifications

• Complex problem solving to identify and evaluate options.
• Decision making using data and logic for stakeholders.
• Technical leadership on engineering principles and analyses.

• Understanding CDM Regulations and UK construction requirements.
• Awareness of regulatory framework relevant to HS2.
• Chartered Engineer status or working towards it.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical assurance on asset design and construction per HS2 requirements.
• Support NEC3 Supervisor and Principal Designer roles under CDM Regulations.
• Communicate HS2 engineering requirements to IPT contractor and respond to technical queries.
• Develop design solutions and promote best practices for efficiency and system integration.
• Collaborate with technical specialists to mitigate risks and balance costs.
