Job summary

High Speed Two Ltd, Integration Directorate, seeks an experienced professional to become Technical Assurance Manager on HS2 contracts. The role involves overseeing contractor assurance, reviewing designs and evidence, and ensuring robust verification across rail systems, civils and stations.

You will lead assurance activities, identify gaps, provide guidance, and collaborate with multiple HS2 teams to maintain high standards of delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience working on major rail or infrastructure projects.
• Experience reviewing designs, technical submissions and evidence.
• Ability to challenge technical information constructively.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Understanding of verification and validation processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage technical assurance activities across one or more HS2 delivery contracts.
• Review contractor assurance processes for robustness and compliance.
• Review and accept technical assurance evidence, ensuring traceability.
• Identify assurance gaps and risks, and propose corrective actions.
• Provide guidance and training to contractors and HS2 teams.
• Produce assurance reporting and use performance data to identify trends.
• Support audits and assurance reviews as needed.
• Collaborate with Risk, Requirements, Configuration and Change teams to integrate assurance information.
