Job summary

High Speed 2 (HS2) Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Project Engineer – Old Oak Common to provide professional and technical support on project engineering duties within the IPT, delivering assurance, configuration management and information exchange.

The role reports to the Head of Engineering & Environment; it involves coordinating design, construction and handover, and requires Chartered Engineer status or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Experience in coordinating technical assurance per HS2 requirements.
• Ability to identify risks and apply judgement.
• Understanding of design, construction and commissioning processes.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical assurance for HS2 phase gates.
• Coordinate acceptance of design, construction and commissioning.
• Support Head of Engineering in CDM duties.
• Provide design guidance and drive best practices.
• Engage with specialists for cost-balanced mitigations.
• Manage interfaces to achieve system integration.
• Communicate engineering issues and changes effectively.
