Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems is seeking a Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of defence engineering projects through bid, development, integration and delivery. You will manage cross-functional teams, coordinate customers and suppliers, and ensure delivery within time, cost, quality and performance parameters.

Ideal candidates bring experience in complex projects, governance, and both Agile and Waterfall delivery, plus a degree in Engineering, Business or IT.

Qualifications

• Experience leading complex, multidisciplinary defence/engineering projects.
• Strong governance, planning and control knowledge.
• Experience across agile and traditional delivery environments.
• Degree in Engineering, Business or IT, or equivalent experience.
• Professional PM accreditation would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of projects across full lifecycle from bid to delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams and manage external partners.
• Ensure projects meet time, cost, quality and performance targets.
• Maintain programme governance including planning, financial control and risk management.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges.
• Communicate progress and outcomes to stakeholders at all levels.
• Contribute to competitive and non-competitive bids for future opportunities.
