Job summary

Gdmsi is seeking an experienced Programme Manager to lead a portfolio of defence-oriented projects, bridging engineering, customers, partners and suppliers to deliver sophisticated solutions. You will own end-to-end delivery across bids, planning, development, integration and close-out, coordinating cross-functional teams in a regulated environment.

The role requires strong governance, budgeting and risk management capabilities, with experience in both Agile/SAFe and traditional Waterfall

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing complex multidisciplinary projects within defence, communications or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of governance, planning and control for programmes and projects.
• Experience leading medium-to-high complexity projects across lifecycle.
• Experience managing budgets, risks, schedules, resources, suppliers and project performance.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery; MSP and P3M frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of low to medium complexity projects with growth potential.
• Manage projects through bid, planning, development, integration, delivery and close-out.
• Drive successful delivery of complex engineering projects in Tactical Communications.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to achieve programme objectives.
• Build relationships with customers, partners, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Ensure delivery meets time, cost, quality and performance targets.
• Maintain programme governance including planning, financial control, risk and reporting.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and delivery challenges.
• Oversee budgets and financial/commercial control; monitor supplier performance.
• Contribute to bids and shaping deliverables for future opportunities.
• Plan and deliver projects in both Waterfall and Agile/SAFe environments.
• Provide clear programme reporting and communications to stakeholders.
