Job summary

BAE Systems Digital Intelligence in London is seeking a Project Manager to lead software engineering and system integration projects for UK Government and Cyber Security clients. You will manage agile and waterfall delivery, supervise teams, manage budgets and timelines, and liaise with customers and suppliers to ensure successful outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, governance knowledge, and a track record in delivering complex tech projects.

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good understanding of agile and waterfall methodologies, toolsets, process and governance.
• Five years of project and delivery management experience demonstrated in a professional role within a business or project.
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills.
• Experience developing and managing teams, including managing their delivery and performance and providing appraisal and support to their development.
• An understanding of the factors that contribute to successful project delivery and stakeholder management.
• Ability to think creatively to solve problems.
• Experience with MS Excel, Word, Atlassian suite, Gitlab, MS Project.
• Willingness to co-locate with colleagues in a BAE or customer office at least three days per week.

Responsibilities

• Determining the best means of satisfying customer requirements within project objectives and constraints.
• Managing internal and external stakeholders, considering their influence and interests.
• Developing and managing teams, including delivery performance and development support.
• Developing and agreeing budgets for projects and controlling forecast and actual costs.
• Preparing and maintaining schedules or agile delivery products, tracking milestones and risks.
• Developing, maintaining and applying quality management processes for project activities and outputs.
• Documenting scope, schedule, resources, budgets, risks and quality requirements, escalating exceptions.
• Creating progress reports and managing RAID items with customers and internal teams.
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Promoting BAE Systems Digital Intelligence in all actions.
