Job summary

General Dynamics Mission Systems in the UK (Wales) is seeking experienced Programme Managers to lead a portfolio of defence projects, delivering across bids, planning, development, integration and delivery in a technically complex environment.

The role emphasises cross-functional teamwork with customers, partners and suppliers, governance, budgets and risk management, and offers hybrid working and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Experience managing complex multidisciplinary defence projects.
• Strong governance, planning and control knowledge.
• Experience with budgets, risks, schedules and suppliers.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and engage senior stakeholders.
• Experience across Agile and traditional Waterfall delivery.

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of low to medium complexity projects across full lifecycle.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Deliver complex engineering projects in the Tactical Communications domain.
• Ensure projects meet time, cost, quality, and performance targets.
• Develop and maintain programme governance, reporting and metrics.
• Identify risks, dependencies and delivery challenges early.
• Manage subcontractors and supplier performance.
• Contribute to bids and future opportunities.
